A home that was once full of life and laughter,  
Now had the black flag of Death fluttering over it.   
In a city that never slept,  Where the lights always burned bright,  With promise of tomorrow,  One light was burning out,  Never to see the sun rise again.   
Staring at the figure on the bed,  
She beheld a shell of a person.  A person who had held her when weak,  
Fed her when hungry,  
Comforted her when scared.   
That very person, who had brought her to life,  
Was being cheated of it by her own body.

Before I begin, I would like to state that I don't claim to have found the perfect answer to one of man's most difficult questions. I'm just giving my opinion on what the feeling of love towards another person is, as experienced by myself and what I have witnessed in others. And this entirely about loving a person, not cats, cars or anything else.   
So, straight to the point. From my point of view, when a person truly loves another, they feel it most during their absence. Love towards that person manifests itself in the lover as an aching void that can only be filled by the presence of the other. There's no n Love, actually.

An Angel, so fair to look upon, has descended.  A breath of spring air.  I am spellbound,  Caught in the fragrance.   
With promises of love,  She gives me joy.  A blessing, or a curse in disguise?  A double-edged sword?   
My soul is uplifted, my chest expanding.  A glow is lit, refusing to be dimmed.  Spaces long dark are alight,  Spaces long empty are filled with emotion.   
I celebrate in an outpouring of joy,  But will tears well up in an outpouring of grief?  Only time will tell.

Yeah, thorougly deserved win. That now puts AC Milan, Juventus and Barcelona in top contention, with Arsenal and either Ajax or Inter Milan as having an outside chance.
